Simrit Panesar
Simrit is a highly determined lawyer specializing in the areas of Family Law and Real Estate. Simrit was called to the Ontario bar in 2022 and also has experience with Wills, Estates and Civil Litigation.
During her Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities at York University, Simrit participated in a variety of different law-related extracurricular clubs. She thoroughly enjoyed mooting and was a member of the debate team. While completing her degree at York, Simrit taught piano at a music school in Mississauga. Simrit then went to the University of Birmingham, a prestigious Russell Group university, where she was also working at a boutique family law firm. Upon her return to Toronto, she worked at a boutique civil litigation firm while completing her NCA examinations.
Simrit completed her articles of clerkship at a mid-sized firm in Mississauga. Simrit gained a variety of different legal experience in family law and real estate law with experience in wills and estate law. Her involvement in the firm led to an in-depth understanding of the family law process and alternative measures to court proceedings. She is cognizant of the emotional demands of family law and is empathetic toward the needs of her clients.
In her spare time, Simrit enjoys playing her piano and going to the gym. Simrit is fluent in English and has a basic understanding of Punjabi.
